Observation of the Efficacy of Anshen Dingzhi Formula Combined with Vitamin D3 Drops in the Treatment of Children with Tic Disorder

Abstract：Objective To explore the correlation between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D[25-(OH)D]levels and tic disorders(TD),and the clinical efficacy of Anshen Dingzhi Formula combined with vitamin D3 drops in the treatment of TD.Methods A total of 175 children with TD who treated in the Pediatrics Department of Suzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the TD group,and 60 children with normal physical examinations were selected as the normal control group.The serum 25-(OH)D level of all children were detected.Among 175 children with TD,97 children with insufficient or deficient 25-(OH)D were selected and divided into three groups according to the random number table method.There were 33 cases in the Anshen Dingzhi Formula group(treated with Anshen Dingzhi Formula),27 cases in the Vitamin D3 Drop group(treated with Vitamin D3 drops),and 37 cases in the Anshen Dingzhi Formula+Vitamin D3 Drop group(treated with the combination of Anshen Dingzhi Formula and Vitamin D3 drops).The serum 25-(OH)D level and Yale globa tic severity scale(YGTSS)score of the three groups of children were compared,and their efficacy and safety were evaluated.Results The serum 25-(OH)D level of children in the TD group was lower than that of children in the normal control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the YGTSS scores of the three groups of TD children were all lower than those before treatment,and the serum 25-(OH)D levels were all higher than those before treatment.The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the Anshen Dingzhi Formula+Vitamin D3 Drop group was higher than that in the other two groups,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion There may be a positive correlation between low serum 25-(OH)D level and the occurrence of TD in children.Vitamin D3 supplementation has certain clinical efficacy in children with TD accompanied by insufficient or deficient 25-(OH)D.The combination of Anshen Dingzhi Formula and vitamin D3 drops in the treatment of TD in children has a significant effect,which can reduce the severity of tics in children,and has high safety.
