Abstract:Objective To explore the combined treatment effect of endovascular radiofrequency ablation, high ligation of the great saphenous vein, and point-based stripping for patients with varicose veins of the lower extremities. Methods A total of 80 patients with varicose veins of the lower extremities admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from September 2022 to September 2023 were included as the research objects. The patients were divided into three groups by the random number table method, namely group A(26 cases),group B(26 cases),and group C(28 cases). The patients in group A were treated with high venous ligation+stripping.Group B was treated with high venous ligation+stripping+laser therapy, and group C was treated with high ligation of the great saphenous vein+endovascular radiofrequency ablation+point stripping. The therapeutic effects, perioperative conditions, varicose veins, complications and prognostic indicators of the three groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in group C was higher than that in group A and group B,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The operation time, postoperative ambulation time and hospital stay of group C were shorter than those of group A and group B.The intraoperative blood loss was less than that of group A and group B.The visual analogue scale(VAS)score 3 days after the operation was lower than that of group A and group B.The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).One month and three months after the operation, the venous clinical severity score(VCSS)in group C was lower than that in group A and group B,and the score of the chronic venous insufficiency questionnaire(CIVIQ-14)was higher than that in group A and group B,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in group C was lower than that in group A and group B,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The rates of hypopigmentation reduction and ulcer healing in group C were higher than those in group A and group B,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the recurrence rate in group C was lower than that in group A and group B,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The combined treatment of endovascular radiofrequency ablation, high ligation of the great saphenous vein, and point-based stripping for patients with varicose veins of the lower extremities has a relatively ideal effect. It has the advantages of short operation time, quick postoperative recovery, less bleeding, high safety, and few complications. It can effectively improve the condition of varicose veins.
