Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application effect of high-speed turbine drill and minimally invasive tooth extraction knife in the extraction of obstructed wisdom teeth. Methods A total of 80 patients with obstructed wisdom teeth who underwent tooth extraction at the outpatient department of the stomatology department of the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, from January 1,2023 to June 30,2024,were randomly selected and divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group underwent traditional tooth extraction, while the observation group underwent minimally invasive tooth extraction. All patients received standard preoperative preparation and postoperative care, and the two groups of patients were compared in terms of surgical time, postoperative pain, postoperative swelling degree, and recovery time. Results The research results showed that compared with the control group, the observation group had shorter surgery time and postoperative recovery time, significantly reduced postoperative pain and swelling, and had less intraoperative trauma and faster postoperative recovery, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion High-speed turbine drills and minimally invasive tooth extraction knives have high clinical application value in the extraction of obstructed wisdom teeth, which can effectively improve the surgical experience and postoperative recovery of patients.
