Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of high-flow humidification apparatus in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)complicated with type Ⅱ respiratory failure. Methods A total of 110 patients with COPD combined with type Ⅱ respiratory failure in the Second Hospital of Longyan in 2023 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table method,55 cases in each group. Both groups were provided with conventional treatment,on the basis of which, the control group was provided with invasive ventilator treatment, and the observation group was provided with high-flow humidifier treatment. At the end of treatment, the difference of treatment outcome between the two groups was compared. Results After treatment the indexes of arterial blood oxygen partial pressure, oxygen saturation and arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the chronic respiratory diseases questionnaire(CRQ)score of 2 groups was higher than before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group, and the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with COPD complicated with type Ⅱ respiratory failure, providing high-flow humidifier treatment can quickly improve the blood gas index of patients, solve the problems of respiratory function and other disorders, improve the quality of life of patients, and strengthen the therapeutic effect.
