Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of different needle knife approach methods on the operation precision and function in patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods A total of 90 KOA patients admitted to The Third Affiliated Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the research subjects.According to the principle of random number table, they were divided into a traditional approach needle knife treatment group,an ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group, and an ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group, with 30 cases in each group.Patients in each group received the corresponding needle knife approach method. The improvement in pain, knee joint function, and balance ability before and after treatment, the accuracy rate and duration of needle knife operation, the elastic strain rate of the rectus femoris before and after treatment, and the treatment effect in each group were compared. Results After treatment, the scores of the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis index(WOMAC)and visual analog scale(VAS)in all groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores in the ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group and the ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group were lower than those in the traditional approach needle knife treatment group, and the scores in the ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group were lower than those in the ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Fugl-Meyer balance scale and Berg balance scale(BBS)scores in all groups were higher after treatment than before, and the scores in the ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group and the ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group were higher than those in the traditional approach needle knife treatment group, the scores in the ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group were higher than those in the ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the operation accuracy rate among the groups(P>0.05).The operation duration in the traditional approach needle knife treatment group was shorter than that in the ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group and the ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group, and the operation duration in the ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group was shorter than that in the ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the elastic strain rate of the rectus femoris muscle between the ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group and the ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group after treatment(P>0.05).both the ultrasound approach needle knife treatment group and the ultrasound-guided needle knife treatment group were higher than the traditional approach needle knife treatment group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate among the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion For KOA patients, the ultrasound approach needle knife is an effective intervention method that effectively improves knee joint function and balance ability, relieves pain, shortens operation duration, and increases the elastic strain rate of the rectus femoris, with good treatment effects.
