Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Gongmi Powder in the treatment of cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions(HSIL)with high-risk human papillomavirus(HR-HPV)infection after loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEP).Methods A total of 90 eligible patients with HSIL and HR-HPV infection after LEEP admitted to the Department of Gynecology of Quanzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2019 to December 2022 were divided into a control group,an interferon group, and Gongmi Powder group according to a random number table, with 30 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received no local treatment after LEEP;patients in the interferon group were treated with recombinant human interferon α2b vaginal effervescent capsules after LEEP;patients in the Gongmi Powder group were treated with Gongmi Powder for vaginal local medication after LEEP,with a treatment course of 3 months for all groups. The clinical efficacy, vaginal microenvironment indicators[white blood cell count(WBC),hydrogen ion concentration index(pH),sialidase positive rate, hydrogen peroxide positive rate, leukocyte esterase positive rate]before and after treatment for 3 months, and the review situation of HR-HPV at 3 months after the completion of the treatment were compared among the groups. Results At the 3-month follow-up,the total effective rate of treatment in the Gongmi San group and the interferon group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate of treatment between the Gongmi San group and the interferon group(P>0.05).The WBC,pH,sialidase positive rate, hydrogen peroxide positive rate, and leukocyte esterase positive rate in the Gongmi San group were lower than those in the interferon group and the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).And 3 months after the completion of the treatment, the total effective rate of treatment in the Gongmi San group was higher than that in the interferon group and the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The adjuvant use of Gongmi Powder in patients with HSIL and HR-HPV infection after LEEP surgery can increase the clearance rate of HR-HPV and improve the vaginal microenvironment, which has positive significance in preventing the exacerbation and recurrence of cervical lesions.
