The Clinical Effect of Fuzheng Peiben Quxie Decoction Combined with DCF Chemotherapy in the Treatment of Advanced Gastric Cancer

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effect of Fuzheng Peiben Quxie decoction combined with DCF(docetaxel+cisplatin+5 fluorouracil)chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer.Methods Eighty patients with advanced gastric cancer admitted to Sanmenxia Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected,and the patients were divided into an observation group and a control group by random number table,with 40 patients in each group.Patients in the control group received chemotherapy with DCF regimen,and the observation group received additional treatment with Fuzheng Peiben Quxie decoction on the basis of the control group.The objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),and the changes of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,immune function and nutritional status indicators before and after treatment were compared.Resuls The ORR and DCR in the observation group were 57.50%and 82.50%,respectively,which were higher than those of the control group(27.50%and 60.00%).After treatment,both groups of patients showed a decrease in TCM syndrome scores such as overeating,nausea,bloating,upper abdominal pain or stabbing,pale complexion,fatigue,and loose stools,and the observation group had lower scores than the control group.After treatment,the levels of serum immunoglobulin(Ig)M,IgG,and IgA in both groups of patients increased,and the observation group was higher than the control group.After treatment,the levels of serum total protein(TP),serum albumin(Alb),hemoglobin(Hb),and body mass index(BMI)increased in both groups of patients,and the observation group was higher than the control group.The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group.The above comparisons show statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Fuzheng Peiben Quxie decoction and DCF chemotherapy has a significant effect on the treatment of advanced gastric cancer,which can alleviateTCM related symptoms,improve immune function,enhance the patient's nutritional level,and reduce the incidence of chemotherapy adverse reactions.
