Abstract:Objective To explore the feasibility of bronchial artery embolization intervention in the treatment of acute hemoptysis patients. Methods A total of 100 patients with acute hemoptysis admitted to Gao'an People's Hospital from April 2019 to April 2023 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was treated with internal medicine, while the observation group was treated with bronchial artery embolization intervention therapy. The hemoptysis volume, coagulation index, clinical efficacy, and adverse reactions of two groups of patients were compared before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of hemoptysis volume, the levels of plasma fibrinogen(FIB),prothrombin time(PT),and platelet count(PLT)(P>0.05).After 3,5 and 7 days of treatment, the hemoptysis volume of the observation group was lower than that of the control group. After 7 days of treatment, the levels of plasma FIB and PLT in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while PT was lower than that of the control group. After 7 days of treatment, the total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 94.00%,higher than 40.00%of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 12.00%,and there was no significant difference compared to 18.00%in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Bronchial artery embolization intervention therapy for acute hemoptysis can quickly reduce the amount of hemoptysis, improve coagulation function, and clinical efficacy, without significant adverse reactions.
