Abstract:Objective Research on the recurrence risk in patients with first unprovoked seizures and exploration of risk factors for Rrecurrence in first unprovoked seizures patients. Methods Retrospective analysis of 106 patients diagnosed with first unprovoked seizure by 4-hour video electroencephalogram(VEEG)and three-dimensional brain magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)at Jiujiang NO.1 People's Hospital from January 2021 to June 2023.The overall cumulative recurrence rate of the patients was statistically analyzed, followed by logistic regression analysis to identify the risk factors affecting recurrence. Results Among the 106 patients,40 experienced recurrence of epilepsy, with an overall cumulative recurrence risk of 37.74%.The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that VEEG abnormality was a risk factor for recurrence of first unprovoked seizures(P<0.05);and the presence of abnormal epileptic waves on VEEG was a risk factor for recurrence of first unprovoked seizures(P<0.05).Conclusion In the patients selected for this study, the overall cumulative recurrence risk for patients with first unprovoked seizures was 37.74%,and the abnormality of VEEG epileptic waves was a risk factor for recurrence in patients with first unprovoked seizures.
