Abstract:Objective To analyze the TCM syndrome distribution and pathological characteristics of patients with advanced cervical cancer. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with advanced cervical cancer who were treated in Xiamen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from April 2021 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and the pathological characteristics were analyzed according to the TCM syndrome distribution. Results The main TCM syndromes of 80 patients were mainly qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome and damp-heat virulence syndrome, accounting for 26.25%(21/80),21.25%(17/80)and 20.00%(16/80)respectively.The percentages of qi-blood deficiency syndrome,liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome and phlegm-dampness obstruction syndrome were 16.25%(13/80),11.25%(9/80)and 5.00%(4/80)respectively.Among the 80 patients, there were 32 cases of obesity or overweight,50 cases of positive thrombospondin-1(TSP-1)and 59 cases of positive vascular endothelial growth factor-C(VEGF-C).Among the 80 patients, the main TCM syndromes of patients with squamous cell carcinoma were qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome and damp-heat virulence syndrome, accounting for 18.75%(15/80)and 15.00%(12/80)respectively.The main TCM syndromes of patients with adenocarcinoma were spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome[6.25%(5/80)]and qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome[5.00%(4/80)].The main TCM syndromes of patients with adeno-squamous carcinoma were qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome and damp-heat virulence syndrome, and the percentages were all 1.25%(1/80).The main TCM syndromes of other patients were qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome[1.25%(1/80)]and spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome[1.25%(1/80)].The main TCM syndromes of stage ⅢA patients were damp-heat virulence syndrome,qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome and liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome, and the percentages were 6.25%(5/80),5.00%(4/80)and 5.00%(4/80)respectively.The main TCM syndromes of stage ⅢB patients were qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome and spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome, and the percentages were both 6.25%(5/80).The TCM syndromes of stage ⅣA patients were mainly qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome and damp-heat virulence syndrome, accounting for 7.50%(6/80),5.00%(4/80)and 5.00%(4/80)respectively.The TCM syndromes of stage ⅣB patients were mainly qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome[7.50%(6/80)]and spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome[6.25%(5/80)]respectively.Conclusion The TCM syndrome classification of patients with cervical cancer can give priority to qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,damp-heat virulence syndrome, and spleen-kidney deficiency syndrome.During treatment, the patients can be treated with auxiliary treatments such as promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, tonifying qi and nourishing kidney.
