Analysis of the Clinical Value of Psychological Care for Patients Undergoing Subtotal Gastrectomy

Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical value of psychological care for patients undergoing subtotal gastrectomy. Methods56 patients undergoing subtotal gastrectomy in our hospital from March 2011 to May 2013 were selected for the study. They were divided into the treatment group and the control group randomly, with 28 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with psychological care on the basic routine care, while the control group was only treated with the routine care. Self _ rating anxiety scale (SAS) was used to evaluate patient’s feeling. ResultsAfter treatment, the SAS score of the treatment group (38.7 ± 3.2) was signiifcantly lower than the SAS score of the control group (52.9 ± 3.7) (P< 0.05). The nursing satisfaction degree of the treatment group (98.1 ± 4.7) was much higher than that of the control group( 73.2 ± 4.9) (P< 0.05). ConclusionPsychological care used for gastrectomy surgery patients can effectively alleviate the negative emotions, improve patient’s care satisfaction degree and compliance behavior.
