Abstract:Objective To observe the correlation between blood glucose and inflammatory mediators of peripheral blood in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Methods 203 cases of patients with AMI were selected for retrospective analysis. According to the level of blood glucose ,all the patients were divided into three groups, group A(<7.8 mmol/L),group B(7.8-11.0 mmol/L),group C(>11.0 mmol/L),recorded the basic in-formation and the inflammatory mediators in peripheral blood in each group. Results With the increasing of blood glucose levels, the incidence of the multivessel artery disease and complete occlusion lesion in three groups raised gradually, while the white blood cells, neutrophils, neutrophils/lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and C-reaction protein (CRP)in three groups also raised gradually, but the lymphocyte lowered gradually. There were obviously statisti-cal differences(P < 0.05). In addition, there was a positive correlation between the blood glucose and the white blood cells(r = 0.574,P < 0.01),the neutrophils(r = 0.689,P < 0.01),the neutrophils/lymphocyte ratio(r=0.856,P<0.01)and the C-reaction protein(r=0.742,P<0.01),and negatively correlated with the lymphocyte (r =- 0.847,P < 0.01). Conclusion There is a significant correlation between blood glucose and inflammatory mediators of peripheral blood ,which has a certain predictive value to the severity of lesion and prognosis in pa-tients with AMI.
