Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship among health promoting lifestyle and the polymorphism of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor subunits alpha5 gene (CHRNA5?rs 17486278) and lung cancer risk. Methods Two hundred and sixteen lung cancer patients from Dec., 2014 to Dec., 2015 were enrolled into the case group, and 648 cases of healthy people with the matched age, sex and residence were enrolled into the control group. The CHRNA5?rs 17486278 polymorphic loci gene was detected by using the method of polymerase chain reaction?restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR?RFLP). The relationship among health promoting lifestyle and the polymorphism of CHRNA5?rs 17486278 and lung cancer risk were analyzed. Results Logistic regression analysis showed that the stress management in six dimensions of health promoting lifestyle was associated with lung cancer risk (OR = 1.770,95% CI: 1.262 ~ 2.483,P = 0.001). There were significant differences in CHRNA5?rs3829787 allele frequency distribution between the case group and the control group (χ2= 10.067,P = 0.002). Modification effects were observed among stress management and smoking index, smoking index and the genotype of CHRNA5?rs3829787 on lung cancer(χ2 interaction=4.86,pinteraction=0.034;χ2 interaction=8.62,pinteraction=0.003). Conclusion The health promoting lifestyle and the polymorphism of CHRNA5?rs 17486278 loci gene had modification effects on lung cancer risk.
