Abstract:Objective To study the correlations between the levels of inhibition C (Cys-C), glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) and the coronary lesion. Methods 184 patients were divided into the coronary heart disease (CHD) group (n = 113) and the control group (n = 71) according to coronary angiography. The correlations between the level of Cys-C, HbA1c and Gensini score and coronary vessel lesions were investigated. Results The levels of Cys-C and HbA1c of CHD group were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). The levels of Cys-C and HbA1c were positively correlated with Gensini score (r = 0.452, 0.570; P < 0.05). The levels of Cys-C and HbA1c were positively correlated with coronary vessel lesions (P<0.001). Multivariate analysis showed Cys-C and HbA1c were significantly associated with Gensini score (β = 0.221, t = 2.516, P < 0.013;β=0.525, t = 6.342, P < 0.001). There was no significant correlation between the level of Cys-C and Gensini score in the subgroup A (r = 0.102, P = 0.418), and the level of Cys-C was positively correlated with Gensini score in the subgroup B (r=0.440, P<0.002). Conclusions The levels of Cys-C and HbA1c are independently associated with the severity and the vessels of the coronary stenosis. Clinically, the joint detections of the levels of Cys-C and HbA1c are a higher predictive value for coronary artery lesions.
