Abstract:Candida albicans is an important opportunistic pathogenic fungus in the human body, usually colonizing the skin, oral mucosa, vagina and gastrointestinal tract of healthy humans asymptomatically. It is the most common clinical pathogen of fungal bloodstream infections.Immune dysfunction in the body triggers the invasion of Candida albicans against the physiological barrier, leading to skin, mucous membrane and deep infection. In recent years, with the widespread use of drugs like glucocorticoids and immunosuppressants, the incidence and mortality of Candida albicans infections have increased significantly, reaching 46%-75%of the death rate, and still rising year by year.Secretory aspartic proteases(Saps)are invasive enzymes with protein hydrolyzing activity. As a key pathogenic factor for mucosal colonization and systemic dissemination of Candida albicans,Saps play an important role in the occurrence, development and drug resistance mechanism of Candida albicans. This article aims to review the main mechanism of Saps in the process of Candida albicans infection,in order to provide theoretical basis and new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of Candida albicans infectious and the development of new drugs.
