Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of autologous concentrated growth factors(CGFs)in the treatment of non-scarring diffuse alopecia. Methods Sixty patients with non-scarring diffuse alopecia who visited the Department of Dermatology,Suining Central Hospital from December 2023 to June 2024 were included. All patients were treated with CGFs once a month for three consecutive times. The improvement of hair density, hair diameter, and the proportion of single-hair follicular units in the frontal, temporal and vertex regions was comprehensively evaluated through pre-and post-treatment images and trichoscopy, thus assessing the efficacy.Adverse events during the treatment were observed.Satisfaction of doctors and patients at the end of treatment was recorded. Results The overall effective rate of CGF treatment was 95%.Compared with pre-treatment values, the average hair density in the frontal, temporal and vertex regions of patients with non-scarring diffuse alopecia significantly increased by 18.58±11.97,18.73±12.46 and 26.83±16.01 hair/cm2(all P<0.001).The average hair shaft diameter significantly increased by 13.49±8.79 μm,and the proportion of single-hair follicular units significantly decreased by 11.46%±7.20%compared with those before treatment(both P<0.001).The satisfaction rate of doctors was 91.67%,and that of patients was 93.3%.The most common adverse events were pain and discomfort in the scalp after injection(5 cases)and local erythema and ecchymosis(3 cases),all of which relieved spontaneously several hours later. Conclusion CGFs treatment of non-scarring diffuse alopecia is characterized by rapid efficacy, which can effectively improve hair density and hair shaft diameter and reduce the proportion of single-hair follicular units in patients with non-scarring diffuse alopecia, especially in the vertex region. It is highly safe and has high satisfaction rates for both doctors and patients, showing broad application prospects.
