Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of dupilumab combined with tripterygium glycosides on investigator global assessment(IGA)score, transepidermal water loss(TEWL),clinical efficacy, and safety in adult patients with atopic dermatitis(AD).Methods From October 2021 to October 2023,152 adult AD patients admitted to Zhangjiakou First Hospital were divided into an observation group(treated with tripterygium glycosides combined with dupilumab,n=76)and a control group(treated with tripterygium glycosides alone,n=76).After 12 weeks of continuous treatment, symptom scores, clinical efficacy, skin barrier function indices, inflammatory factors, immune function, and treatment safety were evaluated. Results After treatment, the observation group showed significantly lower IGA scores,Eczema Area and Severity Index(EASI)scores,AD Scoring System(SCORAD)scores, and Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI)scores compared to the control group(P<0.05).The effective rate in the observation group was 92.11%(70/76),significantly higher than 78.95%(60/76)in the control group(P<0.05).The observation group exhibited lower TEWL,higher stratum corneum ceramide(Cer)in non-lesional skin, and higher skin hydration levels than the control group(P<0.05).Levels of interleukin(IL)-4,intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1),and leukotriene B4(LTB4)were significantly lower in the observation group(P<0.05).Immunological analyses revealed higher CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+levels,and lower CD8+levels in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).No significant difference in adverse event incidence was observed between groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Dupilumab combined with tripterygium glycosides demonstrates favorable efficacy in adult AD patients, reducing symptom scores, improving skin barrier function, lowering inflammatory factor levels, and enhancing immune function, with good safety profiles.
