Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of nursing intervention based on the PERMA model(Positive Emotion,Engagement,Relationship,Meaning,Accomplishment)on reducing stigma and enhancing self-efficacy in patients with psoriasis. Methods A convenience sampling method was used to recruit 110 psoriasis patients from the Dermatology Department of Nanfang Hospital,Southern Medical University, between April 2021 and March 2024.The patients were divided into two groups:55 in the control group received routine nursing care, and 55 in the observation group received PERMA model-based nursing intervention in addition to routine care. The outcomes at different stages after intervention were analyzed and compared. Results Immediately after intervention,at 1 month, and at 3 months, the scores of the Feeling of Stigma of Psoriasis Questionnaire(FSQ)in both groups were significantly lower than those before intervention(indicating reduced stigma),with the observation group showing a more significant decrease than the control group(P<0.05).Repeated measures ANOVA revealed significant time effects, group effects, and interaction effects across different post-intervention periods(P<0.05).Similarly,scores on the General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)in both groups significantly increased after intervention compared with baseline, and the observation group had higher scores than the control group at all time points(P<0.05).Repeated measures ANOVA also showed significant time effects, group effects, and interaction effects for self-efficacy outcomes(P<0.05).Conclusion The PERMA model-based nursing intervention can effectively reduce stigma and improve self-efficacy in patients with psoriasis.
