Abstract:Atopic dermatitis(AD)is a common chronic relapsing inflammatory skin disease. In recent years, the incidence of AD has significantly increased. The main pathogenic mechanisms of AD include genetic factors, environmental factors, immune imbalance, and impairment of skin barrier function. In recent years, numerous studies have found that oxidative stress(OS)can promote the development of AD by inducting epigenetic abnormalities, increasing levels of skin inflammation, and disrupting skin barrier function.Conversely, increased psychological stress, sleep disturbances, and epidermal bacterial colonization, which are complications of AD,can further contribute to OS.This creates a vicious cycle that exacerbates the chronic and refractory nature of AD.
