Abstract:Objective To observe the efficacy of secukinumab in treating psoriasis vulgaris and explore the correlation between platelet parameters and disease severity. Methods A total of 112 patients with psoriasis vulgaris treated with secukinumab in the Department of Dermatology,Qingdao Eighth People's Hospital, from June 2021 to May 2023 were enrolled.Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI)scores, hemoglobin(Hgb),white blood cell(WBC)count, platelet(PLT)count, mean platelet volume(MPV),platelet distribution width(PDW),immature platelet f raction(IPF),and serum levels of soluble programmed cell death protein 1(sPD-1),interferon-γ(IFN-γ),and interleukin-17(IL-17)were compared before treatm ent,at 12 weeks, and at 24 weeks.Pearson correlation analysis wa s used to assess the correlation between these indicators and PASI scores. Results PASI scores at 12 weeks and 24 weeks were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in Hb,WBC count,or PLT count at the three time points(P>0.05).MPV,PDW,IPF,and serum levels of sPD-1,IFN-γ,and IL-17 at 12 weeks and 24 weeks we re lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed no significant correlation between Hb,WBC count,PLT count,PDW,IPF and PASI scores(P>0.05),while MPV,serum sPD-1,IFN-γ,and IL-17 levels were positively correlated with PASI scores(P<0.05).Conclusion Secukinumab effectively r educes serum IL-17 levels to inhibit inflammation and decreases platelet activity in patients with psoriasis vulgaris.MPV,serum sPD-1,IFN-γ,and IL-17 are positively correlated with P ASI scores, indicating their clinical monitoring value.
