Abstract:A case of multicentric histiocytosis was reported.A 46-year-old female patient presented with erythematous papules on her face, neck, and the dorsum of both hands for two months, accompanied by knee joint pain for three weeks.Dermatological examination revealed multiple faint erythematous macules on the face and neck, with densely arranged red papules the size of pinheads on the surface. On the dorsum of both hands and the extensor surfaces of the fingers, multiple red,oval-shaped nodules were observed, with a slightly firm texture.Histopathological examination showed mild irregular epidermal hyperplasia, with dense cytoplasm-rich,eosinophilic cells in the superficial and middle dermis, forming nodular infiltrates. Some cells exhibited a"ground-glass"appearance.Immunohistochemical staining results were as follows:CD68(+),CD1a(-),S100(-).The final diagnosis was multicentricreticulohistiocytosis.
