Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of comprehensive guided nursing on the life quality and mental health of skin cancer patients receiving radiotherapy.Method A total of 60 skin cancer patients who received radiotherapy at Nantong Oncology Hospital between July 2021 and June 2024 were selected as the research cohort.Using the random number table method, they were divided into a conventional care group(n=30)and an experimental group(n=30).The conventional care group received standard radiotherapy nursing, while the experimental group received comprehensive guided nursing in addition to standard care.Changes in skin damage severity, quality of life[the Short-Form 36 Health Survey(SF-36)],and psychological status[the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)]were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing intervention. Results After nursing, the experimental group exhibited significantly lower scores in skin burning sensation, itching, purulent discharge, and ulceration compared to the conventional care group(all P<0.05).The experimental group also showed significantly higher SF-36 scores(P<0.05)and lower SAS/SDS scores(P<0.05)than the conventional care group. Conclusion Implementing comprehensive guided nursing for skin cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy can significantly improve their quality of life and psychological well-being,effectively alleviate anxiety and depression, and enhance patient satisfaction.
