Research progress on glycosylation in skin diseases

Abstract：Glycosylation is one of the crucial post-translational modifications observed in proteins.It modifies proteins by adding sugar chains to regulate their biological activities.In recent years,glycosylation has gradually become a research hotspot in the field of glycomics.Meanwhile,aberrant glycosylation has been implicated in promoting the occurrence and progression of skin diseases.This article reviews the research progress on the role of glycosylation in related skin diseases such as malignant melanoma,lupus erythematosus,and autoimmune bullous diseases.
