The treatment of vitiligo caused by emotional upset based on the method of"white saliva on the tongue side"

Abstract："White saliva on the tongue side"is an objective sign of emotional upset and an important part of tongue inspection in traditional Chinese medicine,which closely related to stagnation of liver qi and phlegm-damp accumulation.The emotional upset is not only the main inducement of vitiligo,but also a significant risk factor for its progression.By observing the appearance of white saliva on the tongue side,the underlying pathogenesis of the disease can be accurately identified,thereby enabling targeted treatment and enhancing clinical outcomes.The patients with vitiligo exhibiting"white saliva on the tongue side"often have a history of emotional upset.Clinically,the condition can be classified into patterns of stagnation of liver qi and and liver stagnation with spleen deficiency,with treatment tailored to the specific pattern.
