Abstract:The pathogenesis of striae distensae is similar to that of atrophic scars, involving the abnormal repair of dermis and subcutaneous tissue after injury, which leads to the abnormal degradation and synthesis of elastin and collagen fibers.Microneedling(MN),also known as percutaneous collagen induction therapy, uses microneedle instruments to stimulate skin and soft tissue, inducing the regeneration and rearrangement of extracelllular matrix. In recent years, microneedling has been widely used in the treatment of striae distensae and scars(especially acne scars),with advantages such as minimal pain, minor tissue damage, rapid recovery and simple procedure. Its curative effect is remarkable, often being combined with drugs or other techniques to enhance the therapeutic effect.
