Abstract:A 29-year-old female patient complained of a right retroauricular plaque for more than 9 years.A plaque of 3 cm×0.8 cm in size could be seen behind the patient's right ear, displaying a medium texture and a rough central surface.A linear indentation also visible, corresponding to the position of the spectacle frame.Histologic findings showed hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, localized fissure-like changes in the stratum corneum and acanthosis with mild edema.Additionally, there were lymphocytic and histiocytic infiltrations in the superficial middle layer of the dermis. The patient was instructed to wrap the spectacle frame, and apply topical glucocorticoids and urea ointment. After 8 weeks, the skin lesions completely subsided. No recurrence was observed during the 5 months follow-up.
