Nursing experience in a case involving basal cell carcinoma of the lower eyelid treated with ALA-PDT

Abstract：In this study,we provide a comprehensive overview of the nursing experience in utilizing 5-aminolevulinic acid-mediated photodynamic therapy(ALA-PDT)for treating a case of basal cell carcinoma(BCC)located on the lower eyelid.Considering the skin lesions on specific facial areas of the patient,the comprehensive nursing measures were implemented.For the pretreatment and encapsulation of skin lesions,we adhered to the principle that drugs could be utilized more fully.Furthermore,it is imperative to enhance pain management,psychological support,nursing during photodynamic therapy,skincare after treatment,and health education as integral components of comprehensive nursing measures.These nursing measures could relieve patients'anxiety,promote patient compliance,facilitate the restoration of health confidence,mitigate the occurrence of adverse reactions,and result in better aesthetic outcomes.
