Research progress on the treatment of actinic keratosis

Abstract：Actinic keratosis(AK)is a precancerous lesion associated with factors such as ultraviolet radiation,posing a risk of progression to squamous cell carcinoma(SCC).AK is more prevalent in sun-exposed areas,and with increasing age,the incidence of the disease shows a yearly upward trend.This demands special attention from both doctors and patients,necessitating strict follow-up to prevent the occurrence of cancer.At present,there are three main directions of prevention and treatment methods:lesion-directed therapies;field-directed therapies;lifestyle prevention.This article reviews the mechanisms,pros,and cons of treatment and prevention options for AK,aiming to provide physicians and patients with more effective options.
