Dermoscopic observation of livedoid vasculopathy:a case report

Abstract:A 22-year-old male presented with recurrent ecchymosis and ulcers with pain on his lower limbs for three years.The dermoscopic examination showed a light-brown background,white net-like areas in the center,linear vessels and a tiny light-brown patch in the periphery.Histopathological examination showed vessels both in the dermis and subcutaneous fat septal containing hyaline thrombi.The final diagnosis was livedoid vasculopathy.The rash gradually subsided after the treatment of rivalsaban.No recurrence was observed during the 2 years follow-up.
