Abstract:The Foxo gene is a member of the forkhead box(Fox) gene family. This gene encodes the FOXO protein family, which play important roles in cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and so on. The signal pathways of PI3K/AKT and MAPK/ERK, and miRNAs are involved in post-transcriptional regulation of FOXOs, which can regulate FOXOs transcriptional activity and subcellular location. FOXOs may play a role in the processing of proliferation of keratinocytes, but the specific mechanisms are not clear. This article reviews the possible mechanisms of FOXOs in psoriasis epidermal hyper-proliferation.
