Abstract:We report a patient who presented with syringocystadenocarcinoma papilliferum on the scalp. The patient is a 56-year-old male, who has a 5-year history of slowly enlarging masses on the left temporal region. The masses manifested as dark red lumps sized 5cm×4cm×2.5cm, with rough surface, ulceration, erosion, a small amount of purulent secretion and necrotic tissue. There were no palpable and enlarged superficial lymph nodes. Histopathological examination on the lumps revealed syringocystadenocarcinoma papilliferum. The neoplasm was successfully treated with excision and there was no recurrence during 3 years of follow-up.
