A case of rhabdomyolysis and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome caused by wasp sting

Abstract:A 54-year-old male patient was hospitalized 9 hours after wasp sting, who had undergone a total of about 43 stings. The patient presented with rhabdomyolysis and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), whose condition was very critical. The patient recovered well and was discharged with no sign of recurrence after anti-inflammatory treatment, anti-infection treatment, intravenous rehydration therapy and blood purification.
