Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of 595nm pulsed dye laser combined with 1064nm Nd:YAG laser on capillary dilated rosacea. Methods A total of 61 patients diagnosed as capillary dilated rosacea were treated with 595nm pulsed dye laser and 1064nm Nd:YAG laser. Every patient received a series of 3 treatments with an interval of 6-8 weeks. The patients underwent re-examination at 2, 4, 6, and 8 months after the end of the treatment. The selection of laser treatment parameters depend on the thickness, the color and the depth of blood vessels. Results The satisfactory rate of the patients was 88.5%. There was significant difference between IGA index and the number of papules at 2, 4, 6, and 8 months after the end of the treatment (P<0.05). The average VAS score was 5.4. Adverse effects included slight pain, transient erythema and purpura, which disappeared naturally within 7 days. Conclusion The 595nm pulsed dye laser combined with 1064nm Nd:YAG laser is effective and safety for the treatment of capillary dilated rosacea.
