A case of secondary syphilis with various types of lesions
Abstract:A 43-year-old male patient presented with multiple nodules in his hands for 20 days,as well as generalized macular eruptions for 5 days.Before the patient visited our hospital,he had been once diagnosed as purulent granuloma,hemangioma and verruca vulgaris,and treated with cryotherapy,but the effect was poor.According to the results of the test:RPR 1:128 (+),TPPA (+) and the clinical symptoms,the patient was diagnosed as secondary syphilis.Then the patient was treated with an intramuscular injection of 2.4 MU of benzathine penincillin splited into two injections on both sides of the buttocks once a week,for 3 weeks,the skin lesions basically subsided after the treatment.
