The correlation between caspases and psoriasis

Abstract:Psoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory,proliferative skin disease,its pathogenesis is complex.Genetic,environmental,immune and other related factors are closely related to the pathogenisis of the disease.The disease may seriously affect the patients' daily life,therefore,further study of psoriasis is important.Caspases (cysteine aspartic acid specific protease) is a kind of proteolytic enzymes associated with apoptosis and inflammation.The main pathological features of psoriasis are epidermal hyperplasia and hyperkemtosis,and chronic inflammation in dermis.Large number of studies have proved that there is a close relationship between caspases and psoriasis,part of caspases has been widely studied and shown to be involved in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and may be a powerful target for the treatment of the disease.
