Research progress of skin barrier defects in atopic dermatitis

Abstract：Atopic dermatitis(AD) is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease.It has complex etiological factors which associated with the interaction between patients and environment.Skin barrier is a mechanic and immune barrier,which plays key roles in preventing penetration of microbial products and allergens,as well as in immune surveillance and homeostasis.The pathogenesis of AD concerns the destruction of the structural integrity and defects of the functions of the skin barrier.This article provides an overview of the changes of components which maintain the functions of skin barrier in AD.
