Treating refractory plantar warts by fractional CO2 laser combined with modified microwave therapy: a case report
Abstract:A case of refractory plantar warts was successfully treated by fractional CO2 laser combined with modified microwave therapy. A 12 years old girl developed large mosaic warts on the left toe pulp and many millet to mung bean size warts scattered in the other toes and sole of the foot. The clinical manifestations of the patient were complex and difficult to be treated. The large mosaic wart in the left big toe pulp was treated by fractional CO2 laser and the scattered warts were treated by modified method of microwave. All the lesions disappeared after 1 month of treatment. No recurrence was found by 3 months follow-up visit. The curative effect of the combined therapy was remarkable.
