Herpes zoster in infants: report of 6 cases

Abstract：Six cases of infantile herpes zoster are reported, with 1 male and 5 females, including a case of herpes zoster oticus. The age of the patients ranged from 5 months to 3 years. The course of disease was 3～5 d, the skin lesions were consistent with the features of herpes zoster, the erythema and vesicles were clustered and banded with unilateral distribution. In combination with conventional antiviral therapy, both liquid nitrogen cold spray and wipe and compound arnebia root oil were external used, and the curative effect was remarkable.
