Clinical analysis of 30 pediatric patients with staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome

Abstract:Objective To study the clinical characteristics and therapies of staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome(SSSS) in children. Methods The clinic features, therapies and laboratory findings were retrospectively analyzed in 30 pediatric patients with SSSS. Result Cultivation of wound secretion were performed in 30 pediatric patients with SSSS, among which 19 cases were Staphylococcus aureus, and the results of blood culture were all negative. Early antibiotic therapy combined with gamma globulin achieved a good effect, all patients were cured in 7~10 days. Conclusion For the results of wound secretion cultivation of the 30 pediatric patients with SSSS, 19 cases were Staphylococcus aureus. Early antibiotic combined with gamma globulin achieved a good effect.
