The clinical application of autologous fat transplantation in scar correction

Abstract：Patients suffered from scars have been seeking for better treatments for reconstructive and cosmetic concerns. Using autologous fat grafting as a treatment for scar correction is a recent application of a historically well-described operation. A review of the literatures demonstrated that the autologous transplantation of fat could correct tissue fibrosis, contracture and deformity. The importance of fat grafting has been emphasized for its ability of regeneration and transformation produced by adipose-derived stem cells.
