Scar formation of facial basal cell carcinoma treated with local tissue flap
Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of local tissue flap repair in 158 cases of facial basal cell carcinoma (BCC) after surgical resection. Methods A total of 158 patients with facial BCC were collected from January 2011 to January 2015, among them 153 cases accepted operation in the department of dermatology or plastic surgery in our hospital. The clinical and pathological data of all the patients were analyzed on the recurrence, recovery and the formation of scar after the treatment of local tissue flap. Results The patients were followed up for 0.5-5 years, and relapse occurred in 3 patients, the recurrence rate was 2%. Except 3 patients who were slightly dissatisfied with the appearance of the repair, the rest of the patients were satisfied with the result of the operation, the satisfaction rate was 98%. Only 10 patients showed slight scars in 3 months after operation and the lesions disappeared 6 months after the operation. Conclusion Repairing the tissue defect by local tissue flap immediately after surgical resection of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is an effective method, the scar is not obvious and the appearance is satisfactory.
