Abstract:In the past more than 20 years, to explore the mechanism of skin aging is a hot topic in the field of life science research. The most important cellular component in the dermis is fibroblasts, which is closely related to tissue repair. Skin aging is associated with the decrease in the number of fibroblasts, as well as the changes in morphology and the decrease of the secretion and synthetic function of the fibroblasts. To study the mechanism of action of fibroblasts in skin aging, including ROS-PTEN-PI3K, Smad3-I type collagen, miRNAs and so on, maybe provides a new way of thinking for preventing and delaying skin aging. In this paper, the mechanism of action of fibroblasts in skin aging was reviewed.
