Analysis of patch test results in 1036 cases of suspected skin allergy in Hohhot area

Abstract：Objective To study the common allergens in 1036 patients with allergic contact dermatitis in Hohhot city and analyze the relations between the allergens and allergic contact dermatitis. Methods From March 2013 to March 2016, the patch test results of 1036 patients with allergic diseases in the affiliated hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University were analyzed and grouped by gender, age and types of dermatitis. Results The total positive rate was 54.8%, the allergens with higher positive rate were nickel sulfate, thiomersal, isothiazole, bronopal and cobalt chloride. Conclusion Patch test can help the majority of allergic contact dermatitis patients to find allergens, and the result of the study provides a reference for understanding the common allergens in Hohhot area.
