Clinical observation of treating spleen deifciency wefness type urticaria with acupuncture“the old 10-needles”

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of acupuncture “the old 10-needles” for spleen deifciency wefness type urticaria. Methods Eighty patients suffering from spleen deficiency wefness type urticaria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group was given acupuncture “the old 10-needles” and Duopi soup. The control group was given Duopi soup only. The duration of treatment lasted 4 weeks. Patients in the both groups were measured by the score sheet of skin lesions and itching symptom. Results After the treatment, the clinical curative effects(P<0.05) and the improvement in wheal size and itching symptom(P<0.01) of the treatment group was better than the control group. Conclusion Acupuncture“the old 10-needles”combined with Duopi soup may achieve better efifcacy on spleen deifciency wefness type urticaria than Duopi soup only, especially in the improvement in wheal size and itching symptom.
