Efifcacy of compound muniziqi granules combined with hydroquinone cream for female patients with chloasma
Abstract：ObjectiveTo observe the efficacy of compound muniziqi granules combined with hydroquinone cream for female patients with chloasma.MethodsTotal 167 female patients with chloasma were randomly divided into two groups, then the 85 patients in treatment group were given compound muniziqi granules of 6g each time, three times a day, meanwhile were treated with hydroquinone cream, once per night; and the 82 cases in control group were only treated with hydroquinone cream once per night. All the patients in the two groups took vitamin C of 0.2g and vitamin E of 0.1g, tid. The therapeutic effects and side effects were evaluated after 2 months treatment. Serum levels of sex hormone (E2, FSH, LH, P) were detected in 167 patients before and after the treatment by radio immunity method.ResultsThe total effective rate of treatment group was 74.12% and that of control group was 56.09%, there was signiifcant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). After the treatment, the serum E2 and LH levels of the treatment group were signiifcantly lower(P<0.05), while there was no signiifcant difference in FSH and P(P>0.05). Side effects were observed only in 5 cases(2.99%).Conclusion The combination of compound muniziqi granules and hydroquinone cream may be an effective and well-tolerated approach for female patients with chloasma, which may be related with the regulation of sex hormone.
