Management of persons with syphilis who have a history of penicillin allergy:Interpretation on CDC 2015 guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syphilis

Abstract:Syphilis is a systemic disease caused byTreponema pallidum. Penicillin is the preferred drug for treating persons in all stages of syphilis. This article presents the interpretation on management of persons with syphilis who have a history of penicillin allergy that recommended by CDC 2015 guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syphilis, including recommendations and procedures of penicillin allergy skin testing, prick tests, intradermal test and desensitization.
