Analysis of clinical efifcacy of compound clobetasol propionate and 5% salicylic acid ointment for chronic eczema

Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical efifcacy and safety of compound clobetasol propionate combined with 5% salicylic acid ointment for chronic eczema.MethodsTotal 134 patients with chronic eczema were divided into three groups. Seventy-four patients in the treatment group were treated with clobetasol propionate and 5% salicylic acid ointment, 30 patients in control group 1 were treated with clobetasol propionate, and 30 patients in control group 2 were treated with 5% salicylic acid ointment. Treatments were given twice daily, and the therapeutic effects were evaluated at 2, 4 and 6 weeks.ResultThe effective rates of the treatment group were both higher than that of the control groups (P<0.05), and the effective rates of the control group 1 were higher than that of the control group2(P<0.05).ConclusionCompound clobetasol propionate combined with 5% salicylic acid ointment can be considered as one kind of effective and safe treatment modality for chronic eczema with short protocol and good compliance.
