Observation of the curative effect of 0.05% desonide cream combined with winona moisturizing cream in the treatment of infantile eczema

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of 0.05% desonide cream combined with winona moisturizing cream in the treatment of infantile eczema. Methods Total 100 outpatients of infantile eczema, from January 2014 to December, were enrolled and randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group was first given the moisturizing cream, 5 minutes after the topical desonide cream. The control group was only given desonide cream, 2 times a day, 7 days for a course of treatment. The efficacy was evaluated at the end of the first and second course of the treatment. Follow up to 8 weeks, then the prognosis and recurrence were observed. Results For the first course of treatment, the effective rate of treatment group and control group was 70.2% and 64% respectively, there was no significant difference between the two groups. For the second course of treatment, the effective rate of treatment group and control group was 94% and 82% respectively, the difference has statistical significance. Follow up to 8 weeks, the effective rate of treatment group and control group was 84% and 60% respectively, the difference has statistical significance. Conclusion The combination therapy of desonide cream and winona moisturizing cream is an effective and safe method for the treatment of infantile eczema.
