Study on the effect of pidotimod combined with 0.025%tretinoin cream in treatment of children with severe verruca plana on face and host’s immune function changes
Abstract:Objective To observe the efifcacy of pidotimod combined with 0.025% tretinoin cream in treatment of children with severe verruca plana on face and host’s immune function changes. Methods Total 120 cases were enrolled, randomly divided into two groups, test group (60 cases) were treated with pidotimod and 0.025% tretinoin cream, and the control group (60 cases) were treated with oral levamisole and 0.025%tretinoin cream topically. Treatment duration included two courses, and each course lasted for 4 weeks, serum immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA, IgM) and T lymphocyte subsets (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+) were tested before and after the treatment. Results The cure rate and the total effective rate were 73.3%and 91.7%in test group, 46.7%and 66.7%in control group. In test group, levels of serum immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA, IgM) and T lymphocyte subsets (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+) were higher than before the treatment and control group, all the differences were signiifcant. Conclusion Oral pidotimod combined with 0.025%tretinoin cream topically used in treatment of children with severe verruca plana on face is effective, safe, which may improve the host’s immune function signiifcantly.
