ROCK activity correlates with SLE disease activity
Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between Rho kinase(ROCK) activity and systemic Lupus erythematosus(SLE) disease activity. Method ROCK activity of SLE patients and healthy volunteers was test by Western blotting. SLE disease activity was evaluated by SLEDAI-2K score. The correlation between ROCK activity and SLE disease activity was analyzed via SPSS17.0 software. Result ROCK activities of the mild, moderate and severe active group of SLE patients were all greater than healthy volunteers. ROCK activities of the moderate and severe active group of SLE patients were both greater than the mild active group. There was no difference in the ROCK activity between the moderate and severe active group of SLE patients. ROCK activity also correlated with SLEDAI-2K scores. Conclusion ROCK activity which correlated with SLE disease activity may be a new potential marker of SLE disease activity.
